Description: I spent the last 20 years of my life devoted to rock climbing, but as soon as I flew my first trainer kite, I knew I was hooked. I recently moved to Florida from Colorado because snowkiting was just too cold. I grew up on the water before I moved to the mountains and I don’t think I’ll ever leave again. Kiting has let me experience the water in a way I never thought possible. The ocean takes on a whole different personality when you’re riding in the midst of it – it is an uncaring, beautiful force that kitesurfing allows you to be an integral part of. I’m addicted and I’ll never go back.
Kite Style: Freeride but I love the waves of the Atlantic
Top Places to Ride : Huguenot Memorial Park, Atlantic Beach, St. Lucia, The Abacos, South Padre, the Sanitarium and a special shout out to Lake MacConaughy
Favorite Moves: Backrolls. Not that I can do one, but I’m certain my kite is gonna help me nail it some day.
Star kites feeling in few words: Star Kites proves that a kite is not just a kite. I have never had more confidence in a kite than I do my ExA 9m. I’ve never had a kite seem more like an extension of myself – it’s there to help me have the best time I can as well as get me out of any trouble I might get into. The build is tough, the low end has serious bite, and the bar pressure is total Baby Bear (just right). The harness is hands down the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced and gives such awesome back support that my sessions have almost doubled in length. My Star Kite is going to get me where I want to be and allow me to go further than I thought I could.
