Starkites Pro Rider William Acosta, Champion in Snowkiting.

February 25, 2011

The unbeatable Pro Rider STARKITES, William Acosta, once again champion of the Quebec Cup 2011 in the Snowboard Category!

William Acosta has now won for the 5th consecutive year. William obtains the silver medal at the final leg of the Quebec Cup at the national park of Oka, in very gusty winds and on a snowy surface where the powder does not always let you see the buoy. William stayed 1st overall because of the 1st places in all the previous legs of the cup. After a though collision on the first race of the final and with an injury William still managed to get back to second place to get a spot on the podium! William distinguishes himself with his technical port starts which helped him obtain the silver medal at the Last Leg of the cup and is declared Champion du Quebec 2011 categories snowboard for the 5th year in a row.
Because of his injury, William has cancelled his trip to Finland (WISSA) where he felt confidant to win the world champion title for 2011 in the snowboard category. Congrats to William for all your 2011 performances on the snow and good recovery!!

But this is not the only Starkites success for this Quebec Cup 2011!!

Genevieve Leonard, Canadian Starkites team rider completely dominated the final Leg in the womens’ ski categorie winning 6 out of 6 races and wins the Gold Medal! On the overall result Genevieve finishes second! Congrat GE for this great achievement!

Also, young rider, Nathaniel Montminy, 11 years old wins with the SBow 3m, the silver medal in the Junior Category. Nathaniel is following the tracks of his idol, William Acosta. Nathan is a promising rider that will quickly finish on top!

And last but not least. Starkites, being a sponsor of the Quebec Cup 2011, is proud to give away Starkites equipment as participation prizes: SBow 8m 2011 to Claudia Pitre, Sprint kiteboard to Lionel Dion, and Starkites harnesses to Daniel Pitre and Eric Gariepy.
