KB4K is a fundraising competition to benefit kids in Dominican Republic. With this event they raise money to give to charities working with kids in the Cabarete area. Hence the name: Kiteboarding 4 ‘Kids”. However, the event is open to Men, Women, and Juniors (age 14 and under) and Pros.
Their beneficiary organizations in the past have included the Mariposa DR Foundation, Ruth Plaut Kindergarten, 3 Mariposa Montesorri, DREAM Project, Kids Alive, and Dominican Crossroads.
Through the fundraising efforts of participating kiteboarders, they want to send a loving message to disadvantaged kids in the Cabarete area and impact their lives positively. Their event combines the natural attributes of Cabarete, enthusiastic support of local shops, generous donations from individuals and manufacturers, the fun loving nature of kiteboarders into a unique experience that will create memories and support the local charities.
