Starkites® Ambassador Gary Powell

British sensation sports passionate (windsurfing, buggy, skydiving, hobie cat,…), Gary discovered kitesurfing in 2002.

Deeply involved in our sports, Gary is now IKO Level 2 / BKSA Senior Instructor and National Trainer.

Being pro active and sharing Starkites® values, he is annually offering free training in kitesurf rescue to local coastguard services.

Gary has trailed many shores around the world and seldom found the quiet beach with regular winds that wait for him at home on Walney Island (UK).

He will compete under Starkites® colours in BKSA Seniors category for 2008 season.

Having a laid back old school riding style with wake style moves and kite loops, he enjoys S-BOW since the beginning as the kite that gave him confidence and ability to try new moves.

Today he is based in UK, running BKSA Approved school North West Kitesurfing in the English Lake District (http://northwestkitesurfing.co.uk). Very active in organizing events (round 2 of the BKSA Grand Prix 2007 and 2008 and fund raising events). His school is also offering amazing 10 miles downinds.

Gary’s motto: "If you don't spread your wings, you'll never learn to fly".
