Feb. 18, 2010:
Starkites’ Team Rider William Acosta wins the Silver Medal!!!
Starkites’ rider William Acosta rocks Canada with his
undeniable talent and his top notch equipment once again. Starkites Team rider
William wins the silver medal on the second round of the Quebec cup 2010 in the snow kite
championship-snowboard categories!!
William’s glorious achievement did not
come easy. He had to give it all he had to get back and maintain a position on
the podium after some dreaded tangles on the first day of the Championship.
The next day in 10 to 15 km of wind and
a frozen surface William rigged his Starkites 2010 SBow 13 meter. Thanks to the
superior control and extra stability of the Starkites, William managed to do
well as the SBow revealed its true colors!
On the Last day of the competition the
wind gods offered the 54 competitors a gusty 15-25 km wind for the more
technical triangle races set up that day. William did not sweat it, as he
pulled out his weapon of choice the StarKites 2010 ExA 9 meter. Once again the power
and quality of the ExA showed its true face: stable in all types of winds, rock
solid in gusts, plenty of grunt and incredible upwind performance. Our Starkites
rider managed to move back up to second place!
Starkites is proud of William’s amazing
performance during this championship. Congratulations William for this well
deserved second place!!
Starkites making a strong impression on
the Quebecois and the Canadien riders, as they can see the potential of these
amazing Kites!
